Refund policy

Notice of cancellation (sickness, lack of funding, or any other personal reasons) must be made in writing to events@baosystems.com. The date of the email will be the basis for considering refunds. Tickets are transferable to other participants and refundable up to 30 days prior to the event. The refund will be processed to the credit card used to purchase your ticket. If you have requested to pay by invoice, we will void the invoice. Registration fees may be refunded as follows:

• Up to 30 days before the event start date: 100% refund
• Less than 30 days until the event start date: no refund

Cancellation of the DHIS2 Symposium

In the event that the DHIS2 Symposium is canceled or postponed due to events beyond the control of the organizers, BAO Systems cannot be held liable for any costs, such as travel and accommodation costs, or other expenses incurred by the participant. Should the DHIS2 Symposium be canceled or postponed, you may choose to have your ticket fees refunded or automatically transferred to the next event.

Modification of program and/or venue change

We reserve the right to amend the DHIS2 Symposium program, including making changes to the speakers and moderators appearing, and/or subjects covered. No refunds can be granted in case of cancellation of speakers, program changes, or any other incidents during the DHIS2 Symposium which are beyond the control of the organizers. The organizers reserve the right to move the Symposium to a larger or smaller venue if the level of participation warrants.

Insurance

The DHIS2 Symposium registration fee does not include or cover insurance. 

Data protection

When you register for and participate in the DHIS2 Symposium, we may collect certain information such as your name, email, organization name, and country of residence. This information is used solely for the purpose of facilitating your participation in the event, including registration, communication, and relevant updates before, during, and after the event. We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes, but your name, email and organization info may be shared with sponsors of the DHIS2 Symposium. Your participation in the DHIS2 Symposium signifies your consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data for the purposes outlined above. If you have any concerns about the handling of your data, please don't hesitate to reach out at events@baosystems.com. By attending the DHIS2 Symposium you acknowledge and agree to our data protection and privacy practices as outlined in this statement.

Disclaimer

Please be advised that BAO Systems reserves the right to use any photograph taken at the DHIS2 Symposium without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph. BAO Systems may use the photograph in publications or other media material produced, such as brochures, invitations, newsletters, Social Media, websites, etc. To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written consent from the photographed subject. A person attending the DHIS2 Symposium who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer, and/or the event organizers. By registering for the DHIS2 Symposium you hereby acknowledge this disclaimer and consent to BAO Systems photographing and using your image and likeness.
